Kevin C. Kostelnik is a shareholder at Cruz Law Firm, P.A. Mr. Kostelnik is admitted to the Florida Bar, all State and Federal Courts in Florida, and the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. Kostelnik practices in the areas of Labor and Employment and Civil Rights Litigation. In addition, Mr. Kostelnik handles predetermination hearings, Inspector General Investigations, and internal investgations on behalf of employees.
Before joining Cruz Law, Mr. Kostelnik was an Assistant State Attorney for the Second Judicial Circuit in Leon County, Florida. During his tenure as a prosecutor, Mr. Kostelnik handled hundreds of felony and misdemeanor cases and tried dozens of jury trials to verdict. After leaving the State Attorney’s Office, Mr. Kostelnik worked for a prestigious labor and employment and civil rights litigation firm in Tallahassee, Florida representing both public and private employers in a variety of complex litigation matters.
In addition to his extensive litigation experience, Mr. Kostelnik lectures and publishes articles statewide on labor and employment, civil rights and civil litigation issues.
Mr. Kostelnik received his Bachelor of Science in Criminology from Florida State University in 2012, cum laude. He received his Juris Doctorate from Florida State University College of Law in 2015, magna cum laude, graduating in the top 10 of his law school class. While attending FSU College of Law, Mr. Kostelnik interned for Federal District Court Judge Kenneth A. Marra and Florida Supreme Court Justice Jorge Labarga. For his commitment to pro bono work, FSU College of Law recognized Mr. Kostelnik with the Distinguished Pro Bono Service Award.
